We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Message Storage: Chat messages are stored on our servers to enable message delivery, synchronization across sessions, and message history. Messages are transmitted through our XMPP-based messaging infrastructure.
Local Encryption: Messages cached on your device are stored in an AES-256 encrypted database (SQLCipher). The encryption key is stored in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and never leaves your device. When you sign out, all locally cached message data is permanently deleted.
Voice Calls: Voice calls are facilitated through WebRTC technology via our media servers. Audio streams are encrypted in transit using DTLS-SRTP. We do not record, store, or monitor voice call audio content. Call metadata (participants, timestamps, duration) is retained for service operation.
Push Notifications: We use Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications for incoming messages and calls. Notification content may include the sender's name and a preview of the message. You can disable notifications in your device settings or within the app.
Message Retention: Messages stored on our servers are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, message data is deleted in accordance with our data retention policy (within 90 days). Individual messages may be deleted by the sender, though copies may remain in recipients' local caches.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Muslink is intended for users aged 18 and older due to the social networking nature of the platform, user-generated content, marketplace transactions, matrimonial features, and other interactive functionality. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@muslink.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers and terminate the associated account. We use your location data to provide accurate Islamic prayer times based on your geographical coordinates. Location data is processed locally on your device and on our servers only to calculate prayer times. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings, though this will affect prayer time accuracy.
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities and to personalize your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features.
